Make 2008 IT
It’s the new year and though people keep telling me that if only they started the year right, then maybe the rest of the year wouldn’t be so bad after all. But who are we to say how to start the year right? Do staying at home and not spending a cent for Starbucks will make your entire year Starbucks-free? (I just had to say that). I decided to just do whatever you need to do for the entire year – your choices that matter anyway, so if you opt to be fucked up in 2008, what is stopping you?
So like any normal person I thought of looking back and accessing last year’s highlights that made my 2007 umm, productive. I skimmed through my planner and was amused at my entry. My life basically gone through that planner as each writing etched a memory that will forever be cherished and hahah – laughed at the absurdity, corniness and OA-ness of it all.
Firstly, I counted the times I have been on trips to Cagayan de Oro – Fourteen (14)! Isn’t that something? January set it off and the rest of the months followed. January has always been my favorite month of the year, too, because of the Sinulog weekend. Nyoy! John Hall! Loft! Vudu! PeopleSupport! The parades! Extravagant, this life is.

The Serial Birthday Celebrant
I got my friends back the day past my birthday. They understood the need to make October my month – make that all October birthday celebrant’s month. Happy diamond-th year again to me!
But he was all too sweet. We had a Saturday night dinner at La Maison. Soulstring was playing that time and the lead singer was a friend of his. He went up to the front and sang! My heart went past Cloud 9 and gave all heart doctors a run for their money.

La Maison’s Lamb Ribs (photo above) We hung out at Gloria Jeans after – he went online, I, did the Cebu Daily crossword.

Come 1am when Gloria Jeans was already closed, there was chicharon bulaklak up for $25 per plate and dinuguan.

Lastly, another round of dessert at Betty’s bakeshop at the Sykes building where the entire building boasted not of its accessibility to Mcdonald’s and all the best restaurants but of their free Wifi… where I also gathered, here are the Hotspots in Cebu after scouting for several weeks for them: 1. East, West ayala2. East, West Mango3. Calabria Café, Coco Mall4. Sykes Asia5. Big Bucks Coffee6. Waterfront Hotel7. Paseo Banawa And not much lately happened. Mitz and I checked out the new Starbucks Coffee at Club Ultima/Crown Regency towers.
Pretty.

Then my officemates wrought havoc at Darlene’s house last Saturday. We rented a karaoke machine and went crazy with three microphones, all that food and booze.

Randy, Darlene, Erdie, Maeg, vanessa
Oh, yes, Another one of ‘em celebrations. To be concluded in … November? Lol.
