24 Hour'ed

If you’re 24 and single, you think you’ve got it all because you’re young and you’re body is still immune from getting all those sickness men and women are known to get when they’re in their 50′s. Don’t listen to all that BS. Even at 16 you better take care of your body and that means getting enough zzz’s to last you a lifetime.

The weekend was similar to a remake countdown of the series 24 where everything happened in 24 hours. The countdown culminated last Saturday when I met up with Roxanne Teves and her boyfriend, Jeff for Sasha Vega’s brithday at 9PM (Happy Birthday, sweetie!) at some cafe which is two blocks away from my house but I was on high heels so I had a taxi take me there which made Mitz laugh cause she just happened to be outside the building at the same time.

12.00 a.m.

Vudu for Jackie Climaco’s rehash party and Rhipstop’s Clothing launching of “Filipinas”, a pseudo-twin of Team Manila and my date was Joey, an old classmate of mine back in college, who was too formal for comfort. The perennial red carpet photo op was underway until I also realized I didn’t have my camera with me. For the love of – grr.. Sayang. The crowd was tame that night and the upstairs lounge, which I was expecting to be all quiet and subdued was jampacked, stuffy and too RNB. When did VIP lounges ever get to be so noisy? They shouldn’t call it a lounge in the first place especially if you have guests who just wanted to chill and enjoy their Mai Tais. But the dance floor had been abused by friends and “hey, didn’t I meet you somewhere” people when I got an sms from the Mcdonald’s manager  who I have been crushing ever since the alarming weight that I lost because of him. Replying to the text meant sitting down despite all the fun the people were having and now it was between the phone and me.

He just got off work. He doesn’t want to go home early. I raised my eyebrow. And? I didn’t miss the hint but I passed the ball to his side of the court.

What’s entertaining to a manager at this time of the night?
I just wanted to relax.
I see you. Massage, home. No idea where else is the best place. I’m not from Cebu.
I don’t go out much. Where’s that for you?
Thinking of conversations, cafes. Wholesome?
Hahha. Sure. Where?
(First thing that popped) Mocha Blends.
Give me 20 minutes.
(panic-attack) Me too.

4.00 am.

Poor Joey was sport enough to be ditched early. He even took me to the cafe. And The Manager was there, looking too good, too hot, too $@@!!!###. We were talking for 2 hours and I realized menlove to talk about themselves – especially if you build up their confidence, make their head swell… Wink. He was a no-fuss, responsible ex-disc jockey who just had recently broken up with a girlfriend. Eek. Warning bells ringing. But he was great. Too cute. Too conventional. Old-fashioned, can’t handle flirtation. Blushes like a kid. Aww… my heart strings are tugged.

I’m singing now to Hed Kandi’s remake of Mariah Carey’s, “Last night a Dj saved my life… from a broken heart.”

6.00 am.

Went onilne. For six hours.

12.00 pm.

Shopping with Mitz, Rj, Marnelli @ Ayala. There was a race for a really cute brown dress at July’s for the sale until we saw 2 other girls buying it.

10.00 p.m.

Starbucks plus Kit, Sheila and Dotty.

1.00 am.

Home. Number of hours up:  28.

Never do this again.

Dozed off in time to get The Manager’s text. “I get off at 2:30. Where are you?”

Welll… I got this when I opened my mailbox. Isn’t he cute.

the race for the Starbucks 2007 Planner is on. Race you for 21 beverages..

Leather. Very sweet. No coupons lang like last year. It didn’t really earn much entries just like my last year’s planner but I have no doubt the new one will have the same fate as of the the old. Still Cute man. :) Girls. Pffew.
