Surprise, Surprise!

June 29, 2010 – My mom thought it was a good idea to take a break and spend one weekend in Cebu. She thought it was the perfect excuse to come visit me and check if I’m not a. pregnant, b. secretly married and c. alive. I was lucky I was neither of the first two and mom was relieved that I didn’t turn out to be an unemployed daughter who is raising a three year old kid and is constantly beaten up by a heroin lover for a boyfriend (being an editor at Editfast means a lot, too).

She made it seem like she was travelling alone and told me to book a suite room at a hotel here in Cebu because she was going with a few people in the real estate firm. I thought it was odd because she can’t be that close to them to be staying in the same room, can she? My suspicions were confirmed though – she brought along my two sisters and my papa when I picked them up at Mactan Cebu International Airport! I was BEYOND ECSTATIC. I miss my sisters so much!

We immediately rented a van at MCIA and took them to their hotel. Pop looks tooo happy.  I hope it is because he got away from all the crazy workload in CDO.

Never Dive in Malapascua Without An Underwater Camera

May 16, 2010 – This is a continuation of my previous post on Malapascua Island. I was talking about the beach resort we stayed in during that weekend. The morning after would be the perfect time to take photos of Mike and Diose’s Cottage or AABANA Beach Resort

Why Anyone Would Want to Get Lost in Malapascua

May 15, 2010 – The four hour ride to Maya was not at all pleasant and the province of Maya had powder for land that just piles on your face when the bus passes by it. From Cebu, you can always get on one of the buses at the North BusTerminal.

When you get to Maya, you will not miss this small store. They sell everything from coke zero sakto size to Vicks.

The boat ride costs about 50. Small boat, huh? Continue reading »
