August 2010 – Yes, my butt was once again found in Cagayan de Oro last August to celebrate my mom’s birthday on the 18th and my dad’s in advance (his was on September 6). I took the road less traveled and booked tickets for Superferry for Friday night and spent eight hours on a boat to Cagayan. Much to my friends’ chagrin, I chose to get on a stinky, crampy and majorly long trip to Cagayan because my baby Basti was traveling with me. I have heard horror stories of pets being cargoed on aircrafts and I am not ready to deal with the stress of worrying how he will fare on a 45 minute flight to Mindanao so I’d rather iron out my stresses and sacrifice convenience for Basti’s safety (If you have a pet, you’d understand so shut up).
