If there is one thing we all have in common, it is our love for our Wednesday Trivia Night fix at Alejandro’s. The friendship blossomed over crispy patas, huge fights over the white board and constant bickering over the answers. One things fer sure – our team is here to stay!

We hosted again this year. Ah, it was bliss seeing everyone going nuts over Audie’s fixation over the maps of the world. (Damnit, surprisingly some people can still get Mauritius!!) and the prizes we gave away. Congrats to the winners. Till next time!

Cebu Trivia Night turns One!

After learning that a portion of the population in Cebu, whether they are in the center of the city (Alejandros) or they are far North (Joker’s), decide to devote almost four hours of grueling question and answers, we decided that our week nights have never been the same since. And we can’t believe its been a year already since Cebu Trivia Night started!

“Last month’s anniversary was simply amazing,” Leica Cruz, quizmaster of Cebu Trivia Night, said. “We had it month long and we felt the support of the geeks every week building up to the culminating night which was the Cebu vs. Manila trivia night at Anzani. It paved way to build new ties with the geeks in Manila and now Cebu is being invited for a ‘Cebu All stars’ vs ‘Manila All stars’ trivia night. You better watch out for it after June this year.”

Do you ever wonder what goes on inside Alejandro’s Restaurant every Wednesday?

The hoots, the catcalls, and the huge cheers that border on frustration or exhilaration are elements of Cebu Trivia Night held weekly at the home of the best crispy pata in Cebu, Alejandro’s Filipino Resto.

Since its inception last February 2010, the number of participants of Cebu Trivia Night has already grown and multiplied over a span of eight months and is continuously attracting a wider audience all over the Metro. Cebu Trivia Night at Alejandro’s has already gained notoriety in Cebu as the best alternative entertainment in the middle of the week. Trust me, this is by far the most exciting thing to be at other than your office station on a Wednesday night.

Our team, The Team Formerly Known as the The Lady Gagas, had printed out customized shirts for that night. Jon and I took pains to change a boring tshirt into something funky and this is what I ended up with. Perhaps I’ll show a photo soon!
