Adios, 2008.

Got this from IYA.

Where did you begin the year 2008? Sinulog, of course. Started the year with the best festival in the Philippines. I was in Cagayan de Oro with the folks for New Year’s Eve then flew back to Cebu the next day. :)
What was your status by Valentines Day? Single.
Were you in school anytime this year? Not anymore. I’ve thought about enrolling something to pass the time but it never happened. Haha.
Did you have to go to the hospital? Oh, yes. Somewhere mid-2008. May.
Did you gain or lose weight? Lost.
What food did you get to eat the most? Lechon. Lechon. Ah, lechon.
What alcoholic beverage did you get to drink the most? Bailey’s. December 2008 at Noel’s Christening party for Nyte.
What was the best thing someone ever did for you this year?
Be a best friend.
What movie was your favorite this year? I don’t remember! What is wrong with me? Haha. I’m hardly a movie goer so when I leave the theater I feel like there is no difference.
Ever been a fight this year? Lots! Fist fight. Slap the fish kind.
Did you have any encounters with the police? No. Thank God.
Where did you go for vacation? Beaches in Cebu.
What did you purchase that was over 100 dollars? my iPod touch. Oh, wait, my mom did. Oops.
Did you know anybody who got married? Geoffrey Namalata.
Anybody who passed away? Heidi. Dec 2008.
Attend any sporting events? None.
What concerts or shows did you go to? Kaskade! Haha. Fashion shows. Veyga shows.
Describe your birthday: FUN! White Night Party at Zcrets Bar. Thanks to my friends who came!
Your favorite moment(s): Beach hopping from San Rem to everywhere.
New additions to your family: Just three of Tiara and Hugo’s babies: Tombo (RIP), Pook and Kiara.
What was your best month? April I guess with the endless beach parties. I didn’t sport a tan though nor even learned to swim but it was the entire experience of being with your girls that counts.
Made any new friends? very much and kept old ones, too.

Other than home, where did you spend most of you time? At the workplace, in Cagayan de Oro and all over Cebu.

How old did you turn this year? 26. Bah.

Do you have a New Year’s Resolution? I told myself to never again be anywhere near the hospital unless I am visiting friends or family or just there to have some disorder diagnosed. :)

Have you had any regrets? Never!

Done anything embarrassing? Yeah. Caused a scene at some public place here in the city. *gasp*

Gotten married/divorced? None. :)

Have you watched American Idol? No. And I’m not sorry, too. :)

Have you gotten sick? Oh, I plan to not be sick this year. But yes, got hospitalized last May.

What’s a song that best describes you during the beginning of the year? Just Stand Up by Miley Cyrus and other artists

And by the end of the year? Circus by Britney Spears

If you could give your life to get anything back, what would it be? To have that 105lbs weight I had eons ago haha. How superficial of me. Okay, I would like to have the respect I had for myself and maybe it would have helped with the present relationships that I am now in with my friends and my family.

When it is always good to burn bridges and never anymore look back at the past, there are memories last year that I would like to treasure.

Sinulog 2008. Fun times, people.

The ZZI in Glamarazzi

How OA. I’ve always fancied myself into thinking that yes, I’m very busy, and yes, I have no time to write – which is very much false because writing is what I do for a living.

Please welcome the company’s newest addition to this company’s copywriting team, ehem, yours truly!

Now the whole idea of being a writer for this company was incorporated into the system a month ago when the manager told me that yes, they have accepted my application, and no, I would no longer be working on graveyard hours. Now rewind a year back when that happened to me from ex-call center and months after I left because well, it was boring. Number One, this change of schedule is NOT boring. Number two, I do not take, make, release, fake, and disguise calls. (Did I just say that?)

Forget about what I posted earlier – it is just juvenile mumbo-jumbo that I actually dealt with when it was supposed to be discarded like that empty NARS powder case I have.

Just a recap:

Loft Anniversary’s VERANDA Series with JOVEN, Gwen and Erik
my last SALES team outing (sorry photos are no longer available)

Two weekends ago, I missed my flight to CDO on October 30 because Cebu Pacific already closed the counters and allowed standby passengers to take our seats. I do not want to go into detail because it breaks my heart everytime I remember that scene where no Roa has ever done before. Gulp. Flashback to Andrea wagging her finger at the supervisor, yelling, “You will be hearing about this!” that afternoon and I could just shudder.

Cagayan de Oro was fun and wild!

Got back to Cebu after the weekend – this time an hour early, thanks Pop. I was also in time for Samsung’s Inquirer Lifestyle Series. Details here on the Fitness Fashion Show. This post will be concluded. Please pay tribute to my favorite place, VUDU as they once again open this weekend after three makeovers. AD HERE.

I’ll be right backie… back to my sparkling selfie. Muahness

post month end's end.

My favorite astrology sensei slash Tarot Card reader slash star master Michelle Patente predicted that its not going to be a good month for me.

“Oh, you’re having someone tarot-read you now?”
“Well… cards never hurt?”

Michelle is a 69 year old woman living in Georgia who I keep on close correspondence with. I love that woman. She takes pills for her vagina so that it will be healthy. (laughs) Besides, she doesn’t charge for her readings anyway. Normally, a week before the month ends, this is likely going to happen:

1. Hair, skin and everything else breaks.
2. Do not look at my fingernails.
3. My room is tornado-stricken.
4. Don’t mind me spacing out sometimes.
5. All kinds of paperwork are lodged inside my planner, my bag, my wallet and even my makeup bag.
6. …which reminds me, my makeup hues do not match anymore.
7. My eye cream suffers.
8. I’m getting all these unwanted, unknown, fugly dots and blemishes and bumps on my cheeks.
9. I lose contact with my family and friends and my dad sometimes leaves text messages like, “Do you want to go home?,” or, “Are you resigning?”
10. My last song syndrome is “…spending my time… watching the dayyss goo byyy…”
11. Friends text me “I miss you” quotes more than jokes.
12. There are coasters, glasses, for short, garbage all over the table where my computer’s at.
13. What diet?

Because of quota. Because of keeping up with monthly sales. Because of performance. Because.

I can only say one thing about this, my job is a race. EXCITING. Exhilarating. Frustrating and depressing. This is going to be gay, but I love it and I couldn’t imagine leaving this place yet. My friend Jesse pointed out that if you keep on getting tired at some job that you are in then it doesn’t make your new job any different because in time, you will tire of it, too, so might as well love this job and get tired of it at the same time. I hate to disclose it like that but I do. I. love. This. Publishing. Nuthouse.

Month after month I go through the entire process like its already a system that I cannot live without unless someone’s pulls the plug and the drain goes down – I call that the month’s end.

My favorite people are also leaving, too. So much for investing in friendships that will only be as good as the month when their resignation will take effect. But yes, friendships form when there is an effort to cultivate it. By the way, Erdman I will miss you like crazy. =)
