ZipZone Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon
I owe so much backlog posts it is not even funny! I have blogposts on the holidays, Sinulog 2011, our trip to Boracay Island and some events on the side so I do hope you’ll bear with my ineptitude. So far, I’d like to conclude our Thanksgiving trip (sheesh, that long, huh) from last time with this feature.

Published From PhilStar:
We’ve heard them all, we’ve seen them all and we’ve zipped them all. When someone opens up a zipline adventure park, everything is always the first, the longest and the scariest. When you visit Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon, you missed out the part where its the beautiful-est, the green-est, the newest and the grandest.
Since its launch in 2009, the Dahilayan Adventure Park now has horseback riding, mini-boat ski ride, wall climbing, All-Terrain Vehicle rides, Zorb balls, rope course challenges and more. Their 150, 320 and longest 840 meters zipline rides at maximum speed of 90 kilometers per hour at the foot of Kitanglad Mountain Range totally surpassed Camp Sabros Zipline of Digos, Davao del Sur who is currently offering an 820-meter zipline ride.

Cabanlet-Ong Nuptial
I never really got to talk about my friend’s wedding that happened last year. I guess it took a while for that to sink in just as how I’m still trying to internalize another good friend of mine’s wedding. But then, do we really have all that time?
Sobie and JB go a long way back. And I’m not talking about years here. But YEARS. We were in our fourth year in high school when JB and Sobie brought on the holding hands gig and made everyone talk. I didn’t. I was too liberated for that. I gave them both a pat on the back and now that they are married, I couldn’t help but cry.
Yes, I cried at Sobie’s wedding and I’ll cry at every damn wedding that involves any of my bestest friends. What does Sobie know about getting married? She’s 27 and giggly and hides any of my stuff whenever she gets the chance. She thinks it is funny if one pair of your sandals is gone and you’d scramble around looking for it. Till now she still hides my stuff and she will forever be our darling Sobie.

Funny how we have all grown up together for eight years with you both witnessing how we your friends subscribe to happiness in failed relationships yet lest bemoan the breakups we have had to endure. But you both have always been there – together – never faltering – never breaking up – and somehow, we all knew that you both will end up here, in this church, and letting everyone realize that there is hope for the rest of us – that somehow, we all know that we would find someone to never falter with.
We love you. Continue reading »

The 2008 Gratitude Post
When did Christmas ever mean anything? 14 years of a Christian upbringing, your parent’s scoffing at your denims on Christmas Eve and you suddenly declare December 25 as Holy? Sure, people could just tick you off by asking in all their plastic-faced glory why couldn’t everyday be a December 25. But that’s what they say, too, on Valentines and Thanksgiving. Pooh.
Christmas IS special and the holiday is a perfectly good excuse to get on the next trip to your parent’s city and not feel guilty gorging on that home baked ham.
I wish for the best this year and send off a fervent prayer thanking Him…
- …for having a job that writers would kill for
- …for friends that I would kill for
- …for all of my shoeboxes that don’t yield to gravity yet
- …for family that you can always go home to during the holidays
- …for the second home that could almost buy me a Condo unit with the monthly rent I’m paying for
- …for that sweet getaway in Bukidnon when you wanted no other air but nature’s.
- …for the arm that is around me when I wake up in the mornings. sweetest thing in the universe, babycoo.
- …for the mornings that I wake up asthma-free
- …for my grandmas who are still around
- …for renewing my relationship with mom – unconditional love at its best.
- …for ATMs, credit cards and check books
- …for my next door neighbor who’d harass me with her manuscript but wouldn’t think twice about being my In Case of Emergency person
- …for the island of Cebu
- …for Zero fares.
- …for SUNCELL’s unlimited calls.
- …for having a pretty cool Manager who doesn’t give a shit about what you do as long as you get to answer her questions at the end of the month…
- …for the health insurance that supports my dysfunctional lungs
- …for hair clips during those emergency brush offs
