Yes, this Birthday Post is Long Overdue

Just like everything else is OVERDUE. Nothing funny here. My birthday was last October 3 and the boyfriend was on September 26. That makes us Librans. Yes, I am everything nice and diplomatic and confrontation-phobic and indecisive. My friends love me. My family thinks I’m their prodigal daughter who sets off on her own and comes back whenever she wants to. My sisters sometimes count the times my mom indulges me which is quite scary if you ask me because I begin to wonder how they are like 10 years from now. But I love them and they love me back and joke about still getting blessings from mom even if I am in my mid-20s and employed.

Mom’s Birthday and August Fever

 
August 2010 – Yes, my butt was once again found in Cagayan de Oro last August to celebrate my mom’s birthday on the 18th and my dad’s in advance (his was on September 6). I took the road less traveled and booked tickets for Superferry for Friday night and spent eight hours on a boat to Cagayan. Much to my friends’ chagrin, I chose to get on a stinky, crampy and majorly long trip to Cagayan because my baby Basti was traveling with me. I have heard horror stories of pets being cargoed on aircrafts and I am not ready to deal with the stress of worrying how he will fare on a 45 minute flight to Mindanao so I’d rather iron out my stresses and sacrifice convenience for Basti’s safety (If you have a pet, you’d understand so shut up). I’m working on a separate post about travelling with pets, too, so perhaps in the future I can help weed out any questions people travelling with pets might have. Continue reading »
