When you clearly have limited choiches, it would not be difficult to pin point which has the best Italian cuisine in Boracay and Aria Restaurant definitely stands out from the lot. Touted as the one of the Top 5 Best Value Restaurants in Boracay, Aria Restaurant instantly becomes a hit among the tourists and even the locals. The place is in DMall, Station 2 is one of the major landmarks of White Beach. It is small, cramped yet appealing to everyone who passes by instantly gets drawn to the sign, ‘Cucina Italia Mediterranean.’ How touche! How foreign!
We skimmed their menu and found out that their prices are just right – between 100-500php. I see dishes from salads to pizzas – light, filling and flavorful. Aria Cucina prides on their handmade woof-fired oven. You won’t miss this landmark as it stoods like a center piece in the kitchen.

We sat outside and realized that the spot is ideal for people watching! Ha. Tourists enjoying holidays to gran canaria to Boracay Islands, yes?

I guess one of the things that can sum up this Boracay trip of ours is purely gastronomic! For two days, we were just lounging by the pool, sleeping on sunbeds at the beachfront, pigging out on lobsters at Talipapa and shopping those generic shell blings. Definitely a rich experience, mind you, mga feeling kings and queens. Hey, isn’t that what vacations and marmaris holidays are for? Spending, eating and indulging so much you would be paupers when you get back to your old life?

Just a few restaurants away from Boracay Regency is Epic Boracay, a restaurant that none of us will miss because of its close promixity to D’Mall and practically everything else in Station 2. Situated at the center, the restaurant’s open-door policy charms a natural-born foodie or anyone else in particular. Hardly indoor restaurants attract tourists because everyone wants to be outside and within reach of the crowd. We have been swimming the entire afternoon and wanted to engorge on Epic’s famous dishes for dinner. I say, the best time to eat dinner would be at 5pm where you would still catch what is left of the sapphire blue horizon from the sunset. Read the rest of this entry »
Luckily, we had a reservation at Boracay Regency from Agoda.com (yes, try booking there so cheap!) minus the transfers (again, the transfers) and I don’t really give a hoot where we stayed as long as it has A/C, a pool, pretty towels, buffet breakfasts and exemplary room service (okay, fine I give a hoot!).

Boracay Regency was not disappointing too. Read the rest of this entry »
May 5, 2011 – I was in a coma. I was a trajectory, people. I couldn’t get over the fact that somewhere in the Philippines, there is a tiny island that gives you the license to indulge in yourself. It is an exorcism of hedonism you didn’t know existed inside you.
Ah, Boracay. I couldn’t get enough after our intimate Valentine weekend in the first quarter of the year that I had to go back. When one of my bestfriends cajoled-forced-tied my hands-threatened to burn my shoes-blackmailed me into going with the group in May, I was already planning my daily outfit itinerary before I shrieked yes over the phone.

Thanks to W, this Boracay trip was faster, easier, shorter and hella expensive! Hahaha. There were a few factors that influenced the trip’s itinerary but no one was complaining because going on trips is not about where you are going to spend your holidays but who are you going to be spending your trip with. We missed Michelle who was supposed to be on board but again, there is always another reason to go back to Boracay with the entire group in the future. Yes, Jonex, I’m talking to you!
