The Shabu Way in Ayala Center Cebu

I am happy to announce that the Shabu Way Hot Pot Cuisine at the Ayala Terraces is now open – actually its been operating since September but I just had to tell you! We missed the opening because a few of us went to Cagayan de Oro for a weekend at Dahilayan Forest Park (more of that soon).

Do drop by at your favorite shabu-shabu dining in Cebu at the Ayala Terraces – the Shabu Way is located at 2/F Terraces in between Red Kimono and Mooon Cafe.

Your favorite rice topping dishes can now be served in a sizzling plate such as the Chicken Teriyaki (my favorite by the way!) Their newest menu will be rolled out sometime in November 2011. Arvy Lopez’s The Cupcake Theory

I am in cupcake heaven! After trying out several cupcakes in a span of one year, I believe I can already narrow down my favorites. One of them is the Cupcake Theory!

I met Arvy’s babies when we were constantly out every week for Trivia Night and accumulated GCs given as prizes. For P480 a dozen, we forgot about the other red velvet cupcakes or other cupcakes in Cebu we have had before.

Cupcakes by Sonja’s at the Serendra

I think  this deserves an entirely new post after our Manila trip during our parent’s anniversary. My love for dessert has totally transcended to a level that is beyond overwhelm. After I met Cupcakes by Sonja’s at the Serendra Piazza. By the way, its Sonja (son-ja) for Sonja Ocampo.

An excerpt from Lori Lori Baltazar of Dessert Comes First’s interview with Sonja -

Is it true that your kitchen is open 24 hours a day? And did you really work at the Magnolia Bakery? “Yes, the kitchen is open 24 hours a day, but that’s only because we have such a small oven and the cupcakes need to be made in batches. I worked in the Magnolia Bakery in 2005, a year before opening my store. I didn’t want to mimic anybody and I tried to go to as many cupcake bakeries [abroad] as I could. I didn’t want to open a Magnolia, doing just vanilla and chocolate [flavors], I wanted to veer away from that [for my store].”
