How to get the right support – from ETAM Brassieres!

In the US and in the UK, 8 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong-size bras.  Surprised?  There are many magazine (and on the internet) articles, surveys, columns and TV shows that have discussed the bra, and how many women are wearing the wrong-sized bras.  The only ones who would not be surprised are the ones who have discovered their mistake, and now wear the correct bra size.  This wrong bra size would be more of a problem in Asian countries, especially those where Asian lingerie brands have only two cup sizes: A & B.

While European brands like ETAM (France) offer bras from cups A, AA all the way to cup F, Asian bra brands fit all these possible cup sizes into just A & B.  And it is not because Asians are smaller in bust-size; we all went with the available adjusted A and B cup-sizes in these popular bra brands.  Filipino women belatedly find out the comfort of a cup C or a cup D bra of European brands, while for years, they had been wearing cup B.

Summer flings and blings

In a span of three months, I’ve managed to collect profusely huge amounts of memory space on summer sojourns that took me to Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao that I feel like I’ve reached this quarter’s quota on out of town trips. And I’m almost broke. It is not like everything all stops here somewhat but everytime I leave Cebu to hop on a plane, a bus, a cab, and to another zipcode, I carry with me a bag full of items that translate to skin care and accessory paranoia.

Besides the fact that I load up on so many cosmetics and skin care items, I also carry with me another pouch full of accessories from earrings, bracelets, sterling silver, bangles, neckpieces, real white gold rings and even mens jewellery that I’ve managed to collect this season. My friend Yves and Eden have dabbled into hardware lately and the edginess of their craft sometimes balances my outfits.

Collecting jewelry in anticipation of beach parties and day trips to the beach is something of a summer ritual for me. Who knows if that pearl bracelet will be of good use someday? Although they are seasonless (especially when you live in a tropical island like the Philippines), it doesn’t hurt to stock up on this season’s trendsetting themes and funky prints. Tiger? Check. Tartan? Check. Color blocking? Check! Don’t these seasons’ trends make us think twice on wearing designer jewelry? What do you need hardware and earrings and bracelets and rings for when you have so many things going on in one outfit? Oh, you will be surprised. *wink*

In the next onset of blog posts, I will extensively (forgive the delay – I make so much drama like that) write about my 9-month long scheduled trip at Boracay Island, a holy weekend in Moalboal, another gallivant in Cagayan de Oro and lastly, a visit to Makati City, Manila.
