Highlighting 2011 Part II: Travelling

This is the second part of my 2011 highlights and my favorite parts of the year that make me realize that I could probably be a travel and food blogger in Cebu me self – but certainly not as good as my idol, Estan or Enrico or Anton Diaz, and Sinjin.

Ah, who could ever forget the series of beaches, sunbeds, canopy beds and sunsets that I have had affairs with last year? In the first month of 2011, the gang trooped to Hilton Hotel Cebu, the last quarter of the hotel’s pinkiness before it was turned into Movenpick Cebu.THE GLAMARAZZI HILTON HOTEL MOVENPICK CEBU BLOG

With the best setting, the perfect weather and the busog high after a Sutukil lunch, it was the perfect weekend for a fun shoot. The Hilton Cebu was turned into one production setting that day! Thank you to our photographer friends who indulged us that day. Yves did the styling, Joy and Aoi modeled while the rest of us goofed around!

Come Valentines week, the boyfriend and I wanted to do an annual Valentine-in-Boracay thing and started that tradition in 2011. I cannot stress this enough – the weekend after Chinese New Year or the second weekend in February is the perfect season to be in the island especially when people go to Boracay for New Years and Summer – less people means lesser queues and if there are lesser queues then it means everything is not expensive!

When we went parasailing in Boracay, the rates were still 1200 each. Peak season charges are twice that price. Publishing a few photos from this travelogue -

It was also my first visit to ILOILO CITY! Visayas? Owned. Ha.

Happy valentines day, Pearl of the Pacific Boracay!

Trying to deviate naman from Holy Week norms, we stayed overnight at Hoyohoy Villas. The Rimaz totally outdid themselves. It was the most beautiful lodging in the entire Bantayan Island. I will come back, Hoyohoy!

My parents anniversary and a quickie in Cagayan de Oro for Forest Park Dahilayan and my mom’s birthday in August.

Crimson Resort will be a different post though. The entire trip deserves its own separate post. Till next! xoxo
