Never Dive in Malapascua Without An Underwater Camera
May 16, 2010 – This is a continuation of my previous post on Malapascua Island. I was talking about the beach resort we stayed in during that weekend. The morning after would be the perfect time to take photos of Mike and Diose’s Cottage or AABANA Beach Resort.

I have a natural fear for the chicken and bird family and that includes ducks.

Heading out for island-hopping

Our island-hopping slash snorkeling slash diving package already includes all these gear for P800

Babe is swimming in the open ocean. Oh, my. Thresher Sharks in Malapascua, anyone?

Malapascua is just ridiculously gorgeous you’d claim bragging rights for being there. With almost half of the entire day used up for travelling, you would think twice about having a quickie with the island and might even decide to camp out till your parents drag you home. Malapascua island feels like you have been separated from your identity and has given you free reign to be whoever you want to be, wherever you want to be and whatever you want to be. I chose myself and began to absorb the island just like how I would take it all in – happy, contented and blessed to have lived to tell this tale.
I totally forgot to take photos of the innards of our lovely cottage but hopefully my description would suffice. We got the cottage that costs P1,800 per 4 persons – an extra person costs P180 extra. The cottage has one queen sized bed in the first floor, a small sala set across it and a huuuuge bathroom in that has crazy funky blue lights! A small kitchen sits right next to it. In the far corner of the first floor stands a tiny wooden staircase (so tiny a big person would have trouble climbing up) that leads to the attic where there are two single sized airbeds and two single sized beds lay. The cottage has A/C but judging from the size of the house, the cold air wouldn’t even get to the attic, hence, the electric fan on the attic is very much helpful. Please see Mike’s contact information below and see his cottages for yourself. Toodles!
