Voting for Noynoy and getting riled up by narrow-mindedness

I know how the elections are getting everyone so antsy but what is WITH ALL THIS HATE TALK? One of my best friend, Andrea, just had a huge surmounting passion for supporting Noynoy and she got flak for choosing Noynoy as her president. There was so much bashing going on you would need a heavy dose of antibiotics. People get mad at the slightest sign of yellow. People would spit on you if you wear an orange armband. Come on, I know we can’t get along but can we channel all our energy into having faith and, Iknow this is hard, but BEING KIND?

We’ve been to a Noynoy pep rally at the Abellana Sports complex. Being apolitical, I went because I supported Andrea’s cause – not anyone else’s. And I was amazed at the people who went there – drivers, market vendors, kids, housewives, agents, medreps – everyone was there. I wish candidates will not disappoint these people – whether they are Noynoy’s or Mar’s supporters.

We went as close as we can to the platform. The guards pretty much let us in the ropes. Cool!

I am not one who really posts stuff about politics- hey, I don’t even know which category to place this blogpost! After creating the Socio-political Category, which I’m pretty sure won’t be filled up anytime in the future, I’m glad I got to go that rally with renewed passion and hope for the Philippines. You’d be amazed at how the elections can rile anyone up. Good luck to us in May 2010.
