Yorkie Scammer from Cameroon in the Philippines

Last week, I have been looking at the Cebu Classifieds website for people selling their dogs – preferably shih tzu, poodles, maltese or toy dog types. I ran into two ads of members wanting a house for their Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) and immediately messaged them what they want in return for the dog.

Him: I’m from France and Camaroon. The puppy is not with me. Right now I’m in Rome.
Me: Rome! You said Luzon?
Him: Yes, Luzon!

Him: Philippines!
Me: Good! Where in Luzon are you?
Him: Um uh..

The Yorkie ads are no longer at Cebu Classifieds but they could still be in hundreds of ads all over the globe.
No matter how many email addresses people will tell you to avoid replying to, it will still not stop them from creating and signing up at hundreds of free mails online.

By the way, the second Yorkie guy replied with the same information. Cameroon – Western Union – all wanting a home for the puppy. So they say, when everything else is too good to be true… they are false.

I had the same scam from a person named Anne Linkin in Phoenix. I thought it was too good to be true and surely it was. The ad was on Kijiji for a 14 week old male labrador retriever puppy. She fed me this whole story with even pictures of the puppy. How could I resist? Thankfully I googled the information from the e-mail about the puppy agency and I found this site. Thank you so much!

I don’t know what agency you are expecting me to pay. I have no clue where you would like me to send this money. I am more than willing to pay the $130 to have this puppy sent to me so that he can have a loving home, but I can not do this without an address as to where he is located so that the agency could know where to pick him up from.

There were several other e-mails as well, even in one where I accused this of being a scam she wrote

“hello
please i taught you had already paid for the agency to get the puppy to your home
i am now in South Africa
so please send me the mail the agency send to you
you got me angry last time you wrote so i deleted your mail and every other mails you and i have been communicating through
i am not playing with you but you were not serous in paying the agency
thanks
i will be waiting”

I can’t believe that there are people that will play with your emotions ilke this. The puppy was adorable too. I am so upset about this, but I am glad that I found this website. Thank you so much!

I wish I would have googled this information before they got me for $110. It was so convinvincing until I received the email requesting more money. Then i knew I had been scammed. I found this listing on Kijiji website. It was two listings and the other listing I had read about and sent them a real nasty email about how many people were doing mission work in Africa with a puppy. Beware abd be careful.

SAME THING HERE! My scammer was from Camaroon also. HE was very rude when I started questioning the shipping of an animal. he told me in emails that he was local and when I wanted to pick up the puppy he was going to sell me he offered her free if I pay the shipping costs. I am so happy I realized he was a fake and did not give him any info. I have found him listed on craigslist.com, indystar.com and the Nuvo magazine. I have decided to keep messing with him to let him know that i know he is fake and sooner or later he will run short on places to advertise

i had the same thing but my husband argued with this person and cought her in a hand full of lies. be carful. they will scam hard and fast. Anne Linkin that is who tried to scam us from phoenix, az.

hi just want to say they are everywhere. i fell for the same said story only i did’nt send the money. the site was kijiji the owner of dog was kelly.morgan77@yahoo.com she was listed in orlando,fl area i replyed with free puppy story and of coarse wanted it to.i was to to send the money to cameroon for flight activation for $200 after that email back with confermation # then they will give me flight info i said ok.i started thinking puppy in orlando i live in leesburg(35min)why does it have to catch a flight.i didnt email anymore she didkept asking did i send money yet over &over said something was’nt rite she was to worried about money so i googled cameroon and all i saw was scam scam scam and it was the same travel angency as yours. so they’re all over be careful send no money unless its paypal or you’re meeting in person!!!!!!!

Hi just wanted to join the many scammed souls out there. I was looking for a maltese puppy and there was an ad for a free puppy to a good home. It was very convincing and I fell for it. i sent 100.00 thru western union today. Then a man from Animaliers World wide pet travel Agency called and demanded 780.00 for insurance for her transport. I told the sender I knew it was a scam she said it was my fault they killed her puppy and now she would have to kill me. Her emails are jolielari@yahoo.com and Koliviajolie@yahoo.com I hope this does not happen to you. take care

Just thought I’d post to say I just had a brush with the same scam today as I had been looking for kittens on http://www.sgadsonline.com but smelled the same rats that you did.

Same bogus emails claiming to want nothing but a good home for the kitten, just a different handle at yahoo: laurabennis@yahoo.com

This time s/he claims to be in Perlis, Malaysia. Anyway, thanks for posting! Came across your website as I was googling to see if anyone else had been scammed. I have since emailed both Western Union and Money Gram regarding the scammer. Hopefully that helps to throw a spanner in his operations.
