I didn’t know that to get through a third date, the date has to go through an entire day of reading my website – in detail and in depth that I wouldn’t blame him if he pops a beer and downs several bottles in the process while reading in front of his computer– before deciding if he still wants to see me again. Or he goes through my Facebook. Whichever works for him.
The girlfriend! He has The Girlfriend! That is just soo wrong.
We’ve already gone past the wrongness.
I have listened to your story with an ear of a shrink and a mind of a woman and think that even though you might not have the kind of woman you wanted, you are getting the kind of loving you needed – and that is actually the most important thing in this lifetime.
You are special. Acceptance is key and if she cannot accept the real you – growth will forever be absent.
This is the part where you will sing James Ingram’s, “There’s No Easy Way.”
That I have realized after having that 12pm-8pm conversation with you between long hauls of exaggerated yawns and frustrated drowsiness. That I have realized that we are both stuck in the club and no matter how roomy it is, I cannot move one step forward.
I will be here. On call. For you. I’ll just leave 10% of me behind.
