Overdressing is discontinued.

ot in my office.

But that would mean coming up with an office of my own which of course, I do not have!

It’s either these memos are made because they will shape you up or we should ALL get uniformed!

RE: DRESS POLICY

I cringe when the word policy was associated with the word dress. To put dress and policy into one phrase could only mean one thing: serious business. I knew right away what this was all about.

Oh, management… Why couldn’t you just address it to me personally? I wouldn’t mind. Wink.

RE: DRESS POLICY

Now isn’t that better?

I ran into a gamut of DON’TS that they came up with and practically everything is a checklist.

Short pants, cycling pants

Sando shirts

Nothing that shows stomach, bare back

Any transparent or air hole shirts

Sleep wear

Tube blouses and spaghetti straps

Micro mini-skirts

Clothes that almost show private parts

Hey, I just normally have skin that doesn’t require layers of clothing in order to get warm. My manager jokingly asked me what would have been an appropriate reply to the memo.

RE: DRESS POLICY

While the office wishes to allow the adaptation of a certain Dress Code to establish a certain professional image/look/appear, I was somehow guillotined at the fact that it takes a lot of effort for me to ever accomplish such look. Moreover, it seems to me that judging from the list of What Not To Wear, I had to ask, What else I’m supposed to wear? Unless you wanted to take away the the transportation allowance you generously hand out to us, I’m pretty sure an allotment for clothing allowance would be out of the picture. No? K. Fine.
