Back To Town

I deeply apologize for the people who I was suppose to be seeing that time I went home to Cagayan de Oro two weekends ago. Yucky for feeling like a celebrity but thank you also to everyone who went to go see me: my lovelies Warren, Michelle, Tin, and Jay. Even on a Monday, having dinner at TOWN is a social event.

Under Rhinoplasty

“You have been harboring these feelings all this time. And why?”
“Uhuh. Uhuh. So plastic of me, yeah?”
“Isn’t this some kind of situation where all the while I have been looking for the One, he just happens to be right under my nose?”
“Stop it, you are such a girl.”
“Well, here I am, rambling about my failed relationships and he just happens to be that great best guy friend who pats my back and says, It will all turn out better.”
“Among the strings of women he has been with, too – you have always been there to listen.”
“And they never get to stay. I did.”
“……….”
“I cried infrannahim because of a breakup! That was embarrassing!”
“He’s the least likely person to cringe whenever that happens.”
“I don’t even get that part why it feels better to confide to men than to women.”
“Because men don’t give you B.S. They don’t give you You are better than her shit like what women are known to say.”
“He could have been perfect.”
“Since when were you enlightened about this?”
“Since I started noticing how good he looks in that ratty old t-shirt!”
“Could have been. Could have been.”
“Stop me!”
“You need to shake yourself out of this highschoolish crush you have on him. It going to weird him out”
I’m five years old.

La Familia in the boondoks

When my dad went boondoks like that, I eventually was close to rebooking my ticket two weekends ago and hugging my broadband as if leaving the connection for a mountainful weekend and family bonding will make me inutile for days. One day isn’t that bad, I realized, especially when you practically packed your entire apartment with you and the only thing major you did with it was charge your iPod from your laptop. Consolation: at least my playlists are organized and it’s been one of my TO DO list since birth.

a pine tree!

There were horses that has been kept for years and they were still in um, good condition. Haha. Useless stallions who don’t do anything extraordinary but just stand there and take all the beating they get from my booted heel to just do as much as trot. FUN. I guess they hardly have people who slavedrive them into walking so they do not have that much exercise. Poor things, I should go back there from time to time.

Sancho, one of them, is already like 8 years old, and had been doing well until he started to stall for a few minutes just to eat on grass. I have like half-hearted gallops then he just stops. Annoying, right, but kicking on my heels won’t even get him started again so I have this cowboy to do it. It’s embarrassing to get help because I thought I knew about horses and what to do with them when I was still little but now my riding skill is kinda rusty and the cowbody just indulged me with his services. My boots by the way are classic Italian leather that just goes as high as my calves and have heels. They were definitely not designed for rugged terrain activities but why would I do rugged terrain activities? =)
