He hardly goes with me whenever I attend events that require him to practice social skills that I have, um, had to see for myself. Last Saturday was an exception I actually had to deign. “And to what do we owe this honor..?”
“It’s NOKIA!”
Well, couldn’t blame the one gadget-crazy DNA men have in their genes. So we flocked to Shangrila Mactan’s The Marquee and we gawked.

All of its grandeur for the price of $51,000 – negotiable in the next 3 years.
One of the many nonsexual boyfriends I have came with us, too. Rj loved the glitz, the 10-course meal and Martin Yeung.

The whole Nokia 8800 event was not just launching Nokia’s Premium phone but also a commemoration of Cebu’s 8 Iconic figures namely: For me, the most iconic is Miss Gwen Garcia.
In a sea of metallic colors, she stood out in that lovely Cary Santiago gown. So we gallivanted in the other side of Cebu until the party died down at 11pm and we all had to go home.
I hate to end this story but yes, we did go home and comfortably settled into our love nest ‘til Monday morning. Shoot – me going home right away is a bad sign. Maybe I’ll have something better for you next time. Wink.
More pictures here. Nokia also are launching their latest music series and the coveted Nokia 6700. Keep posted for that.
