I, The Resigned.

My resignation has nothing to do with any quarter life crisis. When I turned in that loveletter to R’love, she went, “Anything to change your mind?” I couldn’t answer because all I could think about was going back to my apartment and getting a shower. Naturally, that question was followed by, “What are you doing then in the next few months?” I told her to ask me what I’ll be doing later and I can answer in a heartbeat. How people can answer that question is beyond me. I’ve probably reached the zenith of this career to hold up the red flag but I can’t tell what I’ll be doing next. Eezatbahd? Y like dutt? smiley bored at work

This soon-to-be-ex-PS-employee started talking smack about probably staying in Cagayan de Oro for a while, let them think about something but in reality I cannot leave Cebu. I love Cebu and my parents cannot understand it. I’ve always wanted to be a Cebu citizen and to make a mock of the absurdity, my friend Mai just had to LHAO. I’ll marry a [pronounce it with the same liaison as Cebuano] whoever-ano and be chained here for the rest of my life. I’m staying. Prolly look for work elsewhere. Anything that can keep me in Cebu. Flirting with jobs is a draining affair. You have to pimp yourself again and you can’t even bring the job home!

After May 26, I don’t give a hoot anymore to PeopleSupport! Woot! I can do whatever I want before I get committed to something. I am going to miss the people there and the attachment I have with them — the kind of post-coital attachment you have after hooking up, familiar? Still, change is always positive and a new job will generate the impetus for a Season Three.

Working as a professional now is so so when the real money’s at the internet. You may be educated to have a series of letters after your name but where is the money? Work because you want meaning? [insert animation of a person sticking out tongue] As someone who believes in the practical way of life, I’d rather learn how to make money that learn a course that I wanted just because.

My friends chewed me in for the fact that all I ever do is go online when they really don’t know is that I am learning a lot. You can not imagine the culture present and how much money you can actually earn. The call center industry is just in time for business booming – online! The internet! Advertising! Commerce is spelled with an E before it. Everything online costs – per click, per action, per promotion, and per advertisement. Sell Text Link Ads. Host web polls. RSS Advertising. Congested, ennit? I just wished that all courses – medical, education, or language should incorporate at least one subject dedicated to business so that I wouldn’t be such an ignoramous.

My goodbye spam letter to everyone is still under way and it’s peoplesupport tradition that whenever someone resigns, a letter will be sent to all in one time and people would be up on their stations and going, “Where is she? She’s leaving?” Ahh.. Papansin talaga. Lol.

Sometimes I just wanted to not really work. smiley daydreaming I wanted a course where they train you to be a housewife — is there? Hey, its more meaningful to build a home than merge companies. But that’s another story.
