Our Girl Wedded, the Girls Dreaded
We heard it already but we just had to set up a conference to talk about it. Angeli was on the hot seat because she is getting married this May. Is she getting married because she is pregnant or is she pregnant because she is getting married? Kaloka.
Rona came from all the way from the Republic of Manila because of an emergency reunion with her mom’s siblings and it was perfect timing to discuss the dreadful topic. Since monkhood isn’t an option, Angeli is, yes, getting married to Paolo, and she’s now in her 2nd month – a far cry from Yen’s four-months-barely-there bulging stomach. The entourage was girly fodder for this conference and Tessa was already heavily emphasizing that she be the maid of honor. Yen’s eyes were saying somebody-please-tell-her-something while Rona gives off a you-tell-her-she-is-making-a-mistake-look until I asked, “Anj, are you sure?” and Angeli’s eyes were already going Oh-my-God-this-is-supposed-to-be-my-wedding-why-can’t-I-make-decisions. Tessa pouted and sulked but I guess she really is going to get her way. I just pray for Angeli’s wedding that she need not play the role of the maid or be yelled at because she happens to be prettier than Tessa.

Remy was the first one to tell me when she texted, “Oh by the way, Angeli is pregnant.” By the way! You don’t by-the-way news like that! I wasn’t able to help myself when in a moment of mental aberration did I spread the news to Manila and Mindanao and Visayas. When I was talking to Tessa, I said, “Babe, I feel like crying, I don’t know why. Angeli is still a baby!” She shot back, “I feel like crying, too. I cannot believe she’ll be married first!” Angeli is probably the first one among us to ever hold a wedding in the church. Tessa will forever hold that against her. 
So in a welter of excitement, while we girls were all together, we ranted off the possible people who are likely to fill the roles of bible bearers, candle, and veil [because Angeli has the preparation level of zilch]. Naturally, we’d be bridesmaids and I’d be showing Angeli sketches of our gowns until we forgot that its Pao’s wedding, too, and that he might need some people to fill in those roles. Sad that I won’t be there for those quintessential bridal showers or babyshowers.
After the foray, Rona, some friends and I were at Volume for an all nighter. Sabog na mga people when we were at Maxi for silog meals at 4am. There’s this thing about drunk men and their cellphones at that time that makes anyone snort at advances that are unsolicited and make one go, “Sweet, next time put your mom on speed dial 1 just in case your brain is drowning in all that alcohol again.” The nuances of drunk-dialing.
Hymens for Sale!
So I’m back in Seyboo again. I hate going home sometimes. I gain weight. Eew. And because I was there, I missed the Man Auction held at Formo last weeked. My friends said Andrew Wolfe was one of topless men auctioned and highest bid was at 20 Grand. Gahd.
If I were there, I would have chanted, “Thish ish Shpartaaa!” Woot!

Ugh, Im still living with the folks. I checked my MyPrime and Im disappointed with my first pay. Anyway, I’ve gained almost ten pounds here
And Tessa sounds.. a bit off. Haha. I felt the same way when my friend got pregnant and married. I cried twice during the wedding. Oh beauty.

I’m not getting married anytime soon. Andy and I won’t do anything until my sister finishes school… But goddammit!! 2 yeears is such along time to wait!!
