He showed up at my door at 8pm, Friday night, not scheduled, not planned. I heard someone at the door going hello. That familiar hello that knows someone is going to go crazy after hearing it. I half-ran, half-floated to him and kissed him after closing the door behind me. If it were not for the railing, we would have fallen to the first floor. Mr. Hunbun – in Cebu. And he looked goood.

I cleared all my schedules that weekend. Hunhun and I were all over the city and each other. Ay, whazat too personal?

….because he also has a surprisingly sweet tooth which made his mom go Tsk, tsk .
….because he always claims he doesn’t want to eat – but if you shove him a spoonful, he’d open his mouth.
….because suddenly I’m wearing conservative clothes when I’m with him.
….because waking up on top of him gives him weirrrd dreams.
….because there is still another girl.
….because I shouldn’t be jealous.
….because there is no other girl.
….because dancing with him at Loft makes me want to take him home right away.

….because it’s HIS BIRTHDAY today.
….because I won’t be able to hand him what I really want to give.
….because I just realized I don’t know his shoe size, waistline, whatever.
….because what I really want to give is a candle on top of a cake greeting.
….because he deserves everything.
….because I can’t be resourceful enough to send him anything.
….because he’d rather have icing on my chest.
….because I care if he has been eating well or sleeping well.
